MULTILAYER CERAMIC CAPACITORS

1. Do you experience problems with your tapes when used in feeders of automatic pick and place equipments ?
No, since 2004 we have changed our tape type from glued to thermal-sealed and have recorded no complaint from our customers.

2. Are your capacitors backward or forward compatible ?
Yes, all our HiQ capacitors are RoHS compliant and therefore our customers can use either a leaded or a lead-free process.

3. When we clean the PCB, some water/cleaning agent remain below the chip and can create electrical problems.
We can provide a L-shape ribbon which will lift-up the chip from the PCB and avoid this kind of issue.

4. Our equipment, dedicated to non-magnetic applications, deals with very high currents and it seems the capacitor termination is showing a leaching effect.
Our CP/CL series, dedicated to high RF power applications, can be provided with a copper termination which is both non-magnetic and insensitive to this migration effect.

5. I don’t know which capacitance value will give me the right performance on my circuit.
We are providing on-line simulation software which gives the electrical behavior of our capacitors and our customers can directly download the S parameter files to integrate them within their complete board simulation. Moreover, we are supplying kits of our HiQ capacitors in both standard and non-magnetic versions.

6. I would like to be aware of any change made on the HiQ capacitors I need.
Process Change Notification (PCN) and Design Change Notification (DCN) are made for any modification occuring on our capacitors. Customers wishing to be notified of such changes can contact our Quality department.

7. The capacitance value I'm looking for is not mentionned on your datasheet.
We cannot list all the capacitance values in our datasheets. Actually, all the values between the minimun and maxium ones are available from Temex Ceramics. However, if you need to see the particular value you are looking for in a document from Temex Ceramics, please contact us and we will update the following file: Addendum to Datasheets.
