LaserTrim® devices are especially well suited to mass-production applications. In order to perform the trimming operation, laser equipement is needed. However, the cost of this heavy equipment can be avoided by using a sub-ontractor already equipped with this type of laser. In this case, as the sub-contractor has aleady amortized the laser equipment, the LaserTrim® capacitors are very-low cost (lower than trimmer capacitors) even for small or medium quantities.
