Temex Ceramics' R&D team benefits from long experience in design and development of ceramic materials and microwave components.
Our missions:
 The missions of our R&D are multiple, starting from expertise, through assistance to incoming inspections, the control of the manufacturing processes to guarantee the quality and reliability of the components, and up to developing innovative products:
- To improve the performance of our components:
- A new chemical formula, compatible with high silver-content electrodes, is under development to improve the Q factor by 50% compared to existing products on the market today. We are able to optimize the formulaes and the processes of our microwave ferrites to meet the performances required by our customers - IMD low levels for telecom, reduced hysterisis for phase shifters in space applications are just a few examples of our current improvements.
- To propose specific solutions:
- We develop, upon-request, custom assemblies and component arrays with specific connexions (leads, ribbons, wires). Our expertise in the microwave field allows us to perform a thermal analysis of a given system to define the most suitable solutions in high-power applications, in terms of cost and performance.
- To expand our product offer:
- A higher step in the value chain is obtained when we can propose the assembly of diodes and capacitors - voltage multipliers - or capacitors and other components on a PCB. In the military field, for applications linked to stealth, we tune our absorbing powders to target a specific radar beam.
- To use our core competencies in ceramics to create new products:
- We are currently developping our own chemical formulaes to improve the characteristics of existing humidity and gas sensors: response time, precision and selectivity in the detected gases. In the energy field, we are working on porous ceramic substrates for power-cells.
- Teamwork with partners:
- To develop innovative high technologies, we work in partnership with laboratories and leading suppliers on their markets.
